What it is
Worker training covers mandatory courses for anyone in subordinate or quasi-subordinate work. Not optional: first prevention measure required by law.
Main categories:
• General training (4h) — rights, duties, SPP organisation.
• Specific training by risk (4-8-12h) — low, medium, high.
• Supervisors (additional 8h).
• Managers (16h).
• Fire (4-8-16h by risk level).
• First aid (12-16h by group A/B/C).
• RLS (initial 32h + 4-8h annual update).
• Specific equipment (cranes, forklifts, MEWP, tractors, earthmoving) — 8-32h.

5-year refresh (at least 6h workers).
Penalties: untrained worker → €300-1,500 fine PER WORKER + activity suspension. Injury with untrained worker = nearly certain criminal liability for employer.
Who needs it and when
For every worker before workplace assignment (ideally within 60 days from hiring, anyway no later than 60 days). Initially worker can be supervised by trained supervisor.
Plus:
• Supervisors: anyone overseeing others (shift leaders, foremen).
• Managers: implementing employer's directives.
• Fire/first aid team: appointed by employer per site.
• RLS: elected by workers, trained within 90 days of election.
• Specific equipment operators: before use (cranes, forklifts, MEWP).
