Cold Care's alert module monitors all probe values every minute and compares them with thresholds configured for that specific cell (e.g. freezer cell: max −18 °C; dairy cell: max +4 °C; pharma display case: max +8 °C).

Threshold exceeded: immediate SMS notification (GSM/4G network independent of Wi-Fi), email to manager, push notification in management app. Possible automatic voice call for critical alarms.

Internal backup battery guarantees minimum 8 hours operation during blackout (most common cause of cold-chain loss).

An alarm arriving 30 minutes after the event is useless: the product has already warmed up. That's why Cold Care sends in under 60 seconds from detection.

Critical for: retail (counters and cells working outside staff hours, weekends, holidays), pharmacies with temperature-critical drugs (a vaccine out of 2-8 °C for more than 4 hours must be discarded), clinical labs with biological samples, cold-chain logistics (night transit loads), catering and canteens (14h/day kitchens with multiple shifts), small family restaurants closing in the evening and needing to sleep peacefully.

Critical moment: summer blackout during Ferragosto or a long weekend. Without alerts, you find out on Monday morning with thousands of euros of goods to discard.

Fine threshold tuning: define together pre-alarm (friendly notice, e.g. cell +5 °C in dairy load) and critical alarm (mandatory action, e.g. +8 °C after 15 minutes). Reduces useless alarms and increases sensitivity to real emergencies.

Smart routing: working hours → on-duty operator; night → on-call manager; holidays → appointed substitute. Configurable from customer portal.

Automatic escalation: if first recipient doesn't confirm within X minutes, alarm passes to second, then third, then our technical service (premium contract).

Automatic monthly test of SIM module and backup battery. Preventive SIM and battery replacement every 24 months.
