Twenty years of real interventions: stories, photos, numbers

Behind every method there's a site. Here we narrate (anonymised where needed) the most significant interventions of the last 20 years: Chianti trusses, premium furniture in historic homes, Mugello agritourism, rural agglomerates infested for generations. Every case includes diagnosis, applied method, duration, 24-month result.

● In the field

"Chianti trusses, Medici furniture, Mugello agritourism: every intervention has its own technical and human story."

What it is

Selected gallery of real technical cases organised by category:

• Historic trusses (churches, Renaissance villas): in-situ anoxia + epoxy consolidation.
• Premium furniture (commodes, desks, marquetry libraries): modular chamber anoxia at our lab.
• Premium agritourism and B&Bs: multiple combined treatments (microwave + endotherapy + final protection).
• Antique wooden floors: injection + surface impregnation treatments.
• Emergency cases: acute Hylotrupes infestations with ongoing structural failure.

Every case is told with: pre-intervention photos, entomological diagnosis, applied method, post-treatment photos, 12 and 24-month verification.

References

All documented cases are treated with methodologies compliant with:

• UNI EN 16648:2015 (anoxia).
• UNI 11161:2018 (ancient wood).
• UNI EN 1995-1-1 (structural calculations).
• EU Reg. 528/2012 (biocides).

Data published in GDPR compliance: locations and clients anonymised when no explicit mention authorisation.

Who needs it

Anyone evaluating an intervention who wants to understand:
• Real timing of remediation.
• Average cost of treatment similar to theirs.
• Tangible result at 12 and 24 months.
• Infestation type that actually hit buildings similar to theirs (area, construction era, materials).

Architects and designers in preliminary study phase: the gallery provides technical benchmarks for quotes and dialogue with Superintendencies.

Our approach

Every published case goes through:

1) Client written consent for publication (with or without name mention).
2) Internal technical verification: the case is significant only if it adds information (new species, innovative method, out-of-standard size).
3) GDPR anonymisation where there's no full consent.
4) Professional photos taken in successive phases (T0, treatment end, +12 months, +24 months).
5) Validation by Dr. Marco Tarducci (technical manager) before publication.

Commercial tool: this gallery is also a commercial transparency tool — we prefer to show what we did rather than promise results.
